December 5 is St. Nicolas day in Holland. Children leave out their wooden shoes. If they are good St. Nicolas fills them with treats, if they are bad Schwart Peter fills them with coal. Danny White, and Missy Schuller, both formerly of Peoria, try on wooden shoes at Volendam in the Netherlands.
