Monday I had so many birds in the yard that they had to wait their turn at the 6 bird feeders. That is when the beautiful female flicker arrived for the first time. Yesterday there were not birds because this hawk decided my yard was his territory and sat on the fence waiting for a bird.
The hawks are pretty but I would rather have the flicker, cardinals, finches etc.
I know this extreme weather makes it hard for all the birds, even the hawk.
They love the heated bird bath.
