I took these photos before sunrise on the morning of 12/19 after the overnight ice storm.
Our nativity set was coated in a layer of ice. The lights on the Star of Bethlehem cast a shimmering light over the entire display, whose characters were also glistening from the ice. It's the scene that describes the true meaning of Christmas, frozen in time and crystallized in ice.
The icicle lights on our front porch were covered in, of all things, icicles. The photo turned out unusually clear for a hand-held shot in nighttime exposure mode. Notice how the camera also caught the reflection against our ice-coated maple tree (left).
