Caribbean Dreamin.....

This video is from a festival of island music in Moline last summer. That is as close as we have ever been to an island getaway.
Our story is not unique. Whenever we had the time, there was no money to go anywhere as nice as the Carbbean. There were years of raising kids (the last one graduates as a teacher next year), losing jobs due to economic reasons, going back to school to become a nurse at 35 years of age and traveling 2 and 1/2 hours a day to a job that just pays the bills.
What makes my husband and myself unique, unfortunately in todays society, is that after 34 years of marriage we still love each other, are each others best friend and love to travel on day trips now that the nest is empty.
A trip to the Caribbean would be the ultimate day trip at a time when we are still young enough to enjoy it!!!
