Fire, Police welcome home National Guard

East Peoria Fire and Police officers welcome the returning members of Illinois Army National Guard Company A, 1st Batallion, 178th Infantry Regiment (riding in the charter coaches) and their escort, the Patriot Riders, on Thursday afternoon from the Springfield Road Interstate 474 overpass as the soldiers returned to Central Illinois after serving for a year in Afghanistan.

My soldier was on that bus and seeing them come home was the best feeling ever! God Bless our Troops

My family was on those buses! It was a great sight to see the buses roll in!
