My kids came running in the house to tell me there was a big icky bug on the light post! It was very large but actually as much as I am not a fan of bugs or insects I found it to be very pretty. I grabbed the camera and took some photos. Then I came inside and did a little research to discover that it is an endangered Luna Moth. They don't live very long (about 5-10 days) They usually come out very late at night. It is rare to see them.

Ihave them on the deck every year. Usually the end of May. Found one this weekend on the screen.
