I was invited to spend 2 weeks in Vancouver, British Columbia to explore the venues for the upcoming Olympics. Whistler, B.C, about 70 miles up the mountains from Vancouver is hosting the sliding events, which include bobsled, etc, along with cross-country skiing events as well. The community of Whistler is simply beautiful, as is all of the Canadian southwest. Whistler is looking forward to hosting a portion of the Olympics. They mentioned the hotels are completed booked already.
