Our Sophie Ella

"Sophie Ella" THE HEALING LOVE WE NEEDED

On April 4, 1999 my Beloved Elliott left this world, and entered "Doggy Heaven". That day I swore I would never have another dog, or get that attached to anything with four legs again!!!
Well, I need to stop swearing, because on February 4, 2009 I feel in love! My husband said "no", I said "please", he caved in and I got the sweetest little Cockapoo that could have ever entered our lives. Sophie has us wrapped around her cute little paws. Yes, we are attached and madly in love with this little four legged creature. She has brought so much joy to our lives in the last eight months. It has been a very sad and difficult 2008 and 2009 for us. Dealing with the pain of losing several dear family members, and the unexpected medical crisis with my husband. A quick little story about this: When I got Sophie, she was a Mama's dog. Not really paying too much attention to my husband. On June 17th, this summer, my husband had a stroke. He spent several days in the hospital. I brought him home, got him comfortable on the sofa. I went to pick Sophie up at Ruth's (Sophie's puppysitter, who by the way loves Sophie as much as we do, and Sophie's loves her too!!). When we got home Sophie ran in the livingroom, stared up at my husband, kissed him, and laid with him the rest of the day. She was his little shadow for days, until she was satisfied he was ok, and on the mend. She goes with me everywhere. She is a sister to our grown kids and an aunt to our grandchildren. We love her, and she loves us.
