My daughter had a wonderful time participating in pee wee soccor in Eureka this fall. She improved each game. About mid-season she made an announcement. "Dad, I want to score a goal," she told me. After several close calls and even one goal for the opposition (which we celebrated just the same), she made her very own goal in beautiful fall weather right at the end of her last game. She and all the players in the league received a medal for playing. I told her to bite her medal to make sure it was real. Our family is very proud of her.
