It will be “A Pawfect New Beginning” at Whitney Veterinary Hospital and Cat Care Clinic on Sunday, November 8 from 1 to 3 p.m. when animal lovers hightail it to the veterinary hospital to meet dogs available for adoption from Foster Pet Outreach and enjoy educational workshops.
The event is free and open to the public. Guests can participate in hands-on workshops to learn about pet care, such as “Dog Training 101” where guests will learn how to teach dogs basic obedience commands.
Guests can speak with representatives from Foster Pet Outreach about pet adoption and fostering opportunities. Currently, six cats and seven dogs are available for adoption from Foster Pet Outreach. The pets have been vaccinated, tested and treated for worms, fleas, ticks and ear mites, as well as spayed or neutered. All animals are micro-chipped. Dogs have been vaccinated for distemper, hepatitis, respiratory infections, Parvo virus and rabies.
Whitney Veterinary Hospital is located at 4707 N. Sheridan Rd. in Peoria. For more information, contact Melissa Hoffman at (309) 264-0892.
