Crafter's Village in Peru IL caught on fire Monday evening. The building and all contents are completely destroyed. Firefighters came from Peru, LaSalle, Ottawa and possibly other surrounding departments. The building is located across from the Peru Mall to the East and just south of the Jeff Perry Buick, GMC dealership on 37th street just off route 251. Video was taken around 8:00 PM. Power was out and most likely shut off to the surrounding businesses.

I hope you are going to rebuild I am from the Rockford area and went a few times a year and was in fact getting ready to head that way today and came online to get the hours,very sad.

What a terrible loss. This was such a great place to get away and find great wine, unique crafts, candles, furniture, fabric. Luckily, I grabbed some wine Sunday, I had no idea it'd be the last tiime we'd get to go there. I'm so sorry for everyone
