Getting outside to take bird photos helps me to enjoy winter weather. My husband, Kevin, set up his portable turkey blind in our backyard near where we feed the birds, and I have spent hours sitting in there taking photos of the feathered friends who visit. I snapped a photo of this white-breasted nuthatch on Jan. 12.
