Saturday morning fog froze nice and slow to make "Treeflakes"

Frozen Fog

Friday nights fog froze to create some beautiful effects on the trees where the fog was thickest. This tree just outside Gridley, Illinois was covered in ice crystals over an inch long. Large flat crystals grew on the upwind side of the branches as the fog was frozen from the air.
