The geese by the Riverfront Marina never migrated this winter, proving themselves worthy of being true Peoria locals. They all disappear at night, but during the day they are feeding among the once grassy field, now covered by snow, shoveling with their beaks as well as eating the snow for hydration. Amongst this flock however, there is a family of 5 that are a mixed family of geese, baring their grey heads and orange feet, as to where normal geese bare their jet black heads and black feet. This family of 5 are our most frequent visitors.
