If your calendar is asking the question, "What can I do that will make my weekend fun filled?" The answer is Shorty's strictly Bluegrass festival.This festival takes place at the Stoney Creek Inn 101 Mariners Way EastPeoria, Illinois. The music filled festival starts tonight March 4,2010 and ends on Sunday March 7, 2010. The weekend is bursting with bluegrass musical talents from eight different bands. These talented bands that will fill your eyes and ears with melodic folk and bluegrass tunes are The Martin family, the Punches family, New Blood (Local Band from Pekin, Il.) Summertown Road, Truman's Ridge, Prairie Grass (Local Band from Peoria), RedHead Express, and the Carolina Rebels. What a great family event this is!The whirlwind of bluegrass music will start on Thursday with a gospel night at 7Pm.Then Friday night at 7PM will have a night of great music.Saturday will be a full day starting at1PM anda 7 pm night show of Foot stomping and toe tapping bluegrass music.Ending the festival on Sunday morning with a wonderful melodic gospel round of music. Free jammin and pickin all weekend long!There is also music workshops for the ones who need a little boost on fine tuning their instrumental talents. Stoney Creek Inn is the ideal place to have this event with it's lodge like atmosphere and people friendly staff! come join and see how much fun this festival is. Price for the tickets are 45 dollars for the whole weekend. Ten dollars extra for the thursday night gospel with paid weekend ticket. Come join the Fun!
