Today was the (inter)national One Day Without Shoes sponsored by TOMS Shoes to raise awareness for children and adults who can't afford a pair of shoes.

People who took off their shoes today got a taste of what it would be like to not have shoes.

The cold weather gave this day a bit more meaning.
