We were alerted to the sound of a helicopter and when we stepped outside, there was a red helicopter with a 110 ft pole with 10 rotating blades trimming the trees around the power lines. Each blade is 2 feet in diameter. This took place along East County Highway 27 in Glasford, Illinois. Ameren owns the power lines, so it is safe to assume that they hired the crew to trim the trees surrounding them. A ground crew follows the helicopter and clears the debris from roads and driveways. It is quite an amazing sight to behold.

Maybe it is just my new computer, but I never got the video to play anything but ads. I was able to click on the pictures and see them, but was disappointed at not being able to see any cutting. I wonder if anyone else is having this probllem.
