Tomato-eating Squirrel in Oak Tree

Tomato-eating Squirrel

My parents who have a garden on Muller Rd in East Peoria had placed a few of their tomatos on the picnic table and a squirrel grabbed one of the small tiny tim tomatos and carried it up into the nearby oak tree to eat. I was able to get a picture of the squirrel up in the tree eating the tomato. We had never heard of a squirrel eating tomatos! The next day the squirel came back and brought a friend. Several tomatos were eaten by squirrels over the next fiew days. After we had a good rain, the squirrels did not return so we figured they wanted the tomatos to quench their thirst. I believe the photo was taken Sunday, August 5th.
