My name is Keely Coulter. I go to high school with Cory Miller. He is a disabled soon to be sophomore at Havana High School. He is very smart and loves meeting new people and making friends. I don't have a clue why anyone would want to hurt him. Cory has been attacked 3 times now. Not one of these times have the Havana Police taken any action to catching these sick people. Cory was attacked for the third time July 3 while the water fights were taking place after the parade. He was attacked and left in a public toilet for someone to find. You see this teenager is in a wheelchair and can't walk or do anything like fight back. Havana needs justice for this teenager and the police are not doing muich good. I hope you will all pray for him and help us get justice for Cory and let the streets of Havana be safe for him to take a cruise around town in his wheelchair. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Justice for Cory Miller.

I have had issues with police and such myself and seem to get no help from anywhere. I emailed local county board and several organizations but either get no response or a sad song on how they feel sorry for me or they are too busy to help or ???

What I find even sadder is the lack of news coverage. We are too worried about the oil spill, what politician is cheating on his wife, or just how far in debt america is but we can't get coverage on a "smalltown story"?

I think something here smells.....not to sound nasty, but these attacks happened in broad daylight but no one can identify anyone???

i live close by the town of havana and i come up there to see friends on weekends and i'm absolutely enraged that someone would beat up a kid in a wheelchair! this kind of violence has to stop! before they start going after other people's kids!

i think someone should stand up to these bullies and teach e'm not to mess with a kid again! they deserve to go to jail 4 the rest of their life 4 that kind of behavior!

Havana must be SO PROUD of their Mayor, Police, and community. Just amazing folks. You absolutely AMAZE me with your apathy to stand by and let nothing happen. 3 TIMES this has happened and no justice. You are truly Great Americans.

As someone said by someone else. The parents of the perpetrators are partly responsible too, remember the good ole saying "It takes a village to raise a child."

I agree, the police are attempting to do there job. Its the States Attorney who is Stipending the case. Next Election, throw your weight behind someone else!

I have a son in a wheelchair with cerebral palsey, this has been one of my worst fears for him. The way Cory's situation has been handled is horrifying, I cried for an hour after hearing this story. How is this behavior acceptable in our society?

What is being done to protect Cory until the police do their job? He deserves independence, but if he were my child I would have started making arrangements after the FIRST incident for a friend to walk with him until the culprits are behind bars

This is one former Duck that is ready to come back home. I despise bullies especially those that work in numbers. The cops are doing their job, it is the attorney that needs to be ashamed and ran out.

tHESE PEOPLE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE. uS AS A COMMUNITY ARE SOMEWHAT RESPONSIBLE TO. MANY PEOPLE WILL WHITNESS AND JUST NOT WANT TO GET INVOLVED THAT MAKES ANY JUST AS GUILTY AS THEM THINK ABOUT THAT NEXT TIME YOU SEE SOMETHING HAPPEN

I NO ALL THE COPS IN HAVANA AND NOT ONE OF THEM WOULD HAVE STOOD AND WATCHED. iT SOUNDS LIKE THEY DONE THEIR JOB IF THEIR WERE ARREST. tHERE HAS TO BE GOOD EVIDENCE TO TRY SOMEONE OR THEY WILL JUST GET AWAY WITH IT AND NOT BE TRIED AGAIN.

Rite now with where this happened someone had to see something they should come forward and tell the police department. The police can only respond to what they are informed about. We hire them to do a job they are not the blame.

it is not the police that we all should be mad at but the states attorney she is not doing her job and hate crimes and mob action is what this falls under any where else in the state a little bit of news coveage would help

This is an out rage the people of Havana will not stand for this an longer! The States atturny had people in her grasp the last time and was affraid that she would loose a jury trial and dismissed the case. The corruption in Havana must stop!
