Vought came to us through TAPS Animal Shelter with his mother Carlye and four siblings when they were two-days old. Since, the puppies had been on such a journey, we named them after airplanes. Vought, most appropriately, was named after the Chance Vought Corsair - a WW II airplane.
The Vought Corsair had the biggest, most powerful engine, at the time. It experienced many technical difficulties early on and ultimately performed impressively.
Vought was born on October 7th and stopped nursery when he was eleven-days old. He experienced many physical difficulties and needed lots of TLC - he had to be bottle-fed every four hours; kept in a warm homemade incubator; and make regular visits to Dr. Malcolm at Big Hollow Animal Hospital.
Vought has the biggest, most powerful will to LIVE. He experienced many “technical” difficulties early on and today is performing impressively, as a happy nine-month old puppy.
Survival – we believe - is in the name!!
