While out in my garden (Washington, IL) Sunday I couldn't help but notice all of the American Goldfinch taking advantage of my volunteer sunflowers growing. At times they were fighting over the same flower to get seeds from. Such a pretty bird & fun to watch too while they pluck away the petals to get to the seeds.
