Last April, we visited my daughter at Cotton Tree Lodge, the environmental resort where she works in Belize. We took part in their chocolate week, which meant completing all of the steps from harvesting and processing our own chocolate, to picking cacao pods and planting seedlings. She recently sent us photos of the our cacao trees. Four out of five survived and are on their way to producing the cacao pods used in making chocolate.
